Even though gamers love graphics in a game, they also prefer having a good sound system when they play their games. Logitech knows this very well and is now expanding their series family of PC gaming peripherals, they have unveiled the G51 Surround Sound Speaker System.
The G51 is a 5.1 speaker system that features a 360-degree surround sound with dual Matrix modes, which allows gamers to generate a 5.1 surround-sound experience from any common two-channel stereo source. The Logitech G51 speakers split the audio signal into six channels of sound, without degrading the audio quality. So even if the game doesn’t offer six-channel audio, gamers can enjoy it anyway.
The G51 surround sound speaker system has two Matrix modes, gaming and music. The Gaming Matrix mode boosts the rear speakers and subwoofer to give a more intense gaming experience while the Music Matrix mode augments stereo music, delivering a more natural surround-sound experience through all five satellite speakers.
The Logitech G51 speaker system comes with 155 watts of total RMS (root mean square) power, which optimizes it to deliver high-performance audio experiences. Also they make use of the Frequency Directed Dual Driver (FDD2) technology that produces a uniform soundfield by housing two drivers in each satellite giving uniform, intense sound from any place in the room. They are equipped with an enhanced control pod that includes both headphone and microphone jacks.
Gamers can mod the Logitech G51 speakers. They can make their own artwork for the four left and right satellite speakers. Also, they can rotate the satellite stands to mount them on the wall or clip the center channel to the top of their LCD flat-panel monitor.
